Openings is an interdisciplinary artists’ collective that values collaboration, creativity, and camaraderie. Over the years, Openings has developed into a vibrant and diverse community. This ongoing project has led to our vision statement:
Openings believes that the connections between creativity and transcendence foster critical conversations that have the potential to unite individuals across cultural divides.
Situated as an independent artists’ cooperative, we achieve our vision through exhibitions, special events, and discussions throughout the year. The Church of St. Paul the Apostle, the founding church of the Paulist Fathers, has generously provided us with a unique space for many of our exhibitions.
The Openings Collective welcomes visual artists working in any medium. Requirements for membership are attendance at Collective meetings and contributing to the Collective by planning, hosting, or coordinating an event for the group (such as a studio visit, discussion, or artist talk). Members may also propose and curate exhibitions in the Church of St. Paul the Apostle.
